Genshin Impact has demonstrated Wriothesley’s personality and capabilities. During the Fontaine Archon Quest Act IV: Cataclysm’s Quickening, the Duke of Fortress of Meropide displayed all his power. Wriothesley is a great administrator, strategist, and a powerful character. With his fists alone, this warden was able to push back the Primordial Sea and the flood to his prison for a moment. This time, HoYoverse dedicated a new demo video to Wriothesley before his arrival at Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Launches Wriothesley’s Demo Before His Arrival to the Banner
This short film shows why Wriothesley is the most capable person in charge of the Fortress of Meropide. Before his appearance in Genshin Impact, it seemed that Wriothesley was a cold and distant person, but in his demo, we are shown the opposite. In the game, fans could interact with the duke and see that he is actually a person who cares about the prisoners, somewhat sarcastic and competitive. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he is quite a strong person and will battle the strongest inmates to maintain the status quo of his prison. Fortunately for fans of this character, Wriothesley will arrive at banners in phase 2 of version 4.1 of Genshin Impact on October 17, 2023.
This video also shows his kit and skills in action. Wriothesley’s attacks in Genshin Impact could reference Vi from League of Legends. You have to see his moves and mechanical gloves in the demo. In the video, it also appears the duke is a Cryo vision user, but as some leaks revealed before, he might use a catalyst as a weapon despite his melee combat. This case could be like Shikanoin Heizou, who fights with fists and kicks. The leader of Fortress of Meropide is close to being a playable character.
