A Georgia man is recovering after he passed out while riding a jet ski and crashed into a dock at full speed. The shocking moment was caught on video and has since gone viral on social media.

The video, shared on X by the viral account @DailyLoud, shows the man riding across the water before suddenly collapsing forward and going limp. With no one controlling the jet ski, it keeps moving at full speed until it crashes into a wooden dock and boathouse.

The impact flips the jet ski and throws the rider into the water. People nearby quickly jump in to rescue him.

According to TMZ, the rider was identified as Dillan Stapler, a Georgia jet ski influencer and member of the ‘Lanier Crew,’ a local group of jet ski riders. Stapler was performing a “nose ride,” where he sits on the front of the jet ski, when he suddenly passed out.

Total Pro Sports reported that he lost about 15 minutes of memory after the crash and suffered a severe concussion and heavy bruising, but doctors found no broken bones.

Stapler later shared an update on Facebook, saying, “So yesterday I was involved in a jetski accident, I was doing a nose ride (which I have done a million times) and seemed to have passed out while riding? I can’t remember anything.”

He thanked several people who helped save him, including Anthony Zilke, who pulled him out of the water, and Jerry Hoffmann, who helped get him back to shore. Stapler also said he plans to undergo more medical tests “to make sure I didn’t pass out/stroke out, or whatever the hell happened.”

He added that Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources had already spoken with him about possible reckless operation, but said he was not under the influence.

Internet Reacts to Georgia Man’s Jet Ski Crash

The video drew a wide range of reactions online, with many commenters expressing shock at the crash while others focused on the risks of the stunt itself.

One commenter wrote, “From this stunt, I was thinking maybe it’s true that women live longer than men.” Another questioned the mindset behind such stunts, asking, “The way people risk their lives makes me wonder if they have spare lives at home.”

A third commenter focused on the rescue effort, writing, “That looks horror tho, hope he is OK.. cameraman tried his best to save him!”

Others pointed to how much worse the outcome could have been. One person noted, “At that speed he could have been cut in half,” while another added, “That could’ve end so much worse all depending on what he hit.”

A separate commenter summed up the broader reaction, writing, “Y’all be steady inventing new ways to die daily.”
