Atlanta, Georgia has faced a range of property-crime issues in recent years, including cases where thieves target vehicles for valuable parts such as catalytic converters, tires, and rims. People have been suffering from this for a long time, and just a couple of months ago, several citizens reported dozens of vehicle thefts and break-ins in several areas around the city. Well, it seems this issue is still going on, and as the sad old saying goes, crime never sleeps, because thieves are now stealing car parts as early as possible and ruining a lot of people’s days in the process.
The heartbreaking video comes from Reddit, where a woman in Georgia, who is understandably furious, shows how someone stole her left-side tire and her wheel, but had the gall to leave the jack behind.
While the video is short, you can see just how angry the woman is after she discovered her wheel had been stolen. The thing that makes the whole situation even more frustrating is that this happened before 8 AM, which just shows that criminals are all over the city “working” to ruin everyone’s days and vehicles. The unsavory cherry on top is that whoever did this decided to leave the jack behind, which is completely insulting.
As the woman continues showing what just happened with her tire, she takes a moment to look around before saying, “I need to get out of Atlanta.” Now, this might sound like an exaggeration or something someone would say after experiencing a frustrating situation, but the truth is that many people agree that Atlanta has a lot of car break-ins, and that someone should do something about it.
In this case, it’s unclear whether the victim contacted the authorities or whether someone helped her once she found her vehicle in that state. On Reddit, however, people were either trying to help the woman look at the bright side of this situation, mainly the fact that she got a free jack, while others shared her sentiment about wanting to leave Atlanta.
“Can relate HARRRRRD to desperately needing to leave this place. Seriously. People are the worst down here.” – Tourniquette via Reddit.
“They got some rich criminals in Atlanta if they leave the jack. In Milwaukee, that thing would be on cinderblocks.” – Agent_of_evil via Reddit.
Needless to say, vehicle-related thefts remain a concern for many residents in the city, with reports indicating that criminals sometimes target parked cars for valuable parts at various times of day. While authorities continue efforts to curb these incidents, such break-ins remain an ongoing challenge for local communities.
