A woman in Atlanta, Georgia, says her tire was slashed after she rejected a man who had repeatedly tried to get her attention at her workplace. She said the man had already been in a relationship when he asked her out. What began as unwanted attention at work allegedly escalated after she reported him to management and police were called.
The story was shared on TikTok by the account Unkownnn, which normally features short clips about the woman’s daily life. The incident became the focus of a follow-up video in which she explained what happened and why she believed the situation had become serious.
The woman said she worked at a hotel where the man was staying as a guest. She recalled seeing another woman staying with him during the month she started working there. At some point, however, the man began trying to get closer to her, asking her personal questions and eventually giving her his phone number.
She said she immediately muted the number because she did not want him contacting her. According to her, he continued trying to get her attention at work and would repeatedly hover around her despite her lack of interest.
Feeling uncomfortable, the Georgia woman reported the behavior to her manager. She said the manager agreed to remove the man from the hotel. Police were also called during the situation, but she said he was not detained because he had not yet committed an offense that would allow officers to arrest him.
The situation allegedly escalated after she finished her shift. The woman said she discovered that one of her tires had been slashed when she went to her car after clocking out.
Georgia Woman’s Story Has Viewers Concerned
The video prompted a largely concerned response, with many viewers urging her to take the alleged behavior seriously and focus on her safety. Several were particularly alarmed by a detail involving a box cutter. One commenter questioned why a man who was already behaving aggressively would be given access to a sharp object. “So glad you are safe!!!! So messed up…” one user wrote.
Others encouraged the woman to report the incident to police, involve HR and avoid traveling to work alone for the time being. Some suggested having her boyfriend, friends or coworkers accompany her. Others told her to check her car and phone for a possible tracker.
Viewers were especially unsettled by her claim that the man knew which car belonged to her and had allegedly been waiting outside the hotel. Several commenters viewed that detail as evidence that the situation had gone beyond an awkward rejection.
The Georgia woman also addressed questions about her boyfriend’s reaction. Some viewers accused him of gaslighting her after he initially thought she simply had a flat tire. She pushed back on that characterization, explaining that she believed he genuinely thought the tire was flat. She did, however, say she was unsure why anyone had given the man a knife.
Some commenters asked to see the police report. The woman said a report had been filed and that the document would be available within several days. While most viewers expressed concern and support, a few questioned whether the story was genuine and said they were not convinced by the account.
For viewers following the story, a rejected date was the least of the concerns. The alleged tire-slashing turned an uncomfortable workplace situation into something much more serious.
