Ana Navarro is being called out for getting too handsy with a certain former president. The View co-host was one of the speakers on the first night of the Democratic National Convention. As expected, she ran into several political powerhouses, including Barack Obama. However, fans don’t think she kept the interaction completely professional.
On Tuesday, the political commentator shared photos of her and Barack running into each other backstage at the DNC. Navarro, who donned a light blue dress, was seen adjusting the former president’s tie in one picture. In the second frame, Barack affectionately planted a kiss on her cheek while she placed a hand on his shoulder. Her pet dog rested on the other arm. “Somebody had to fix his tie. So Chacha and I pitched in,” she captioned the tweet. The Nicaragua native blocked comments on the post, but that didn’t stop fans from sharing their thoughts. Many perceived her tweet as a jab at Michelle Obama and immediately came to the former First Lady’s defense.
One fan wrote, “Michelle was not far, ma’am. Here is the d word you need to review: DECORUM!” Another fan declared, “I know she better get away from Michelle’s man!” A third comment read:
“Delete this. You are not that somebody, or whatever Aaliyah said. You know this is out of bounds, which is why you locked the responses.”
A fourth remark read, “I’m sorry, Michelle, we can’t go high on this one. We need to take it to hell!!” Some fans, however, thought Navarro’s gesture was harmless. “Y’all’s reaction to this very innocent and cute interaction is so weird. A woman and a man can have close contact without it being sexual or off-limits, whatever that may mean.”
Ana Navarro Throws Weight Behind Kamala Harris
Although she is a member of the Republican party, Navarro, who identifies politically as a centrist, has endorsed Kamala Harris. The TV personality spoke about her support for the Democratic candidate at the DNC while throwing shots at Donald Trump.
“She [Kamala] is legitimately a joyful optimistic leader. She cares about policy but she also cares about people and how that policy affects real people and not just the members of Mar-a-lago.”
Navarro also pointed out that, unlike Trump, the current vice president likes dogs and has bonded with her pet, Cha Cha. Hopefully, her vocal support for Harris can make fans forgive her.
