It has been confirmed that Todd and Julie Chrisley have reported to prison to start their sentence. Todd Chrisley’s sentence began on Tuesday as he reported to the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola to begin serving a 12-year sentence. On the other hand, his wife Julie reported to the Federal Correctional Institution and the Federal Prison Camp Marianna to serve a seven-year sentence.
In November, the Chrisleys were found guilty of a multimillion-dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme. They were given a combined jail sentence of 19 years. However, Todd and Julie will each need to complete an extra 16 months of probation after being released from prison,
Since their legal crisis, the couple, who has been married for 27 years, has maintained their innocence. Although they are currently in prison, they are in the process of appealing their convictions. Before they reported to prison, the pair attempted to have their prison sentences extended by 21 days, but on January 10, the judge rejected their plea. The court also rejected their bail request. However, Todd and Julie have kept an unwavering faith in trusting God for a change in their sad situation.

The Location Of The Prison
As stated earlier, Todd Chrisley will serve his 12 years of a prison sentence at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. The all-male minimum-security prison built in 1988 lies 20 miles northwest of Pensacola Beach in Florida and 60 miles east of Mobile, Alabama. It is located in Florida’s Escambia County.
The Prison’s Capacity
The Federal prison Todd Chrisley is serving his sentence has enough space for about 499 inmates. However, a 2022 Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Audit Report submitted in March of last year estimates its current population to be 326.

While six are used for convict accommodation, four are housing units for multiple occupancy cells. Todd Chrisley’s Daily Routine In The Federally Prison
The federal prison has a daily routine for all its inmates, including Todd Chrisley. During the week, inmates follow a fixed schedule that starts with official counts at 12:00, 2:00, and 4:30 in the morning. The facility’s 2018 handbook states that “lights on” occur at 4:45 a.m., and breakfast is served between 5 and 6:00 a.m. Inmates then have work calls, which can be at 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., or 7:30 a.m., depending on the base or camp.
The prisoners work until their respective end of the day, which can be any time between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m., after a lunch break from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. In addition, dinner is often served between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., with the “early” supper being between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. Every day, there is a mail call between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Before the lights go down at 10:30 p.m., there are a few more “official counts” conducted throughout the day at 4:00 and 9:00 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays are usually less busy as all prisoners are excused from working. Instead, they can go to the showers after their three early-morning official counts, which start at 4:45 a.m. According to the handbook, there are also visiting hours from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the weekends, a coffee hour from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m., and brunch at 10:00 a.m.
Health Services Are Available To All Inmates
Like most prisons, the federal prison where Todd Chrisley will serve his sentence gives every inmate access to medical care. Dental services, psychological care, drug abuse programs, and mental health assistance are all available inside the prison walls. That is not all. There is also a barbershop where prisoners can get haircuts or other hair services.
Many Recreational Activities Are Available
The federal prison ensures to keep all inmates relaxed by giving them access to intramural sports. These include softball, basketball, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. The prisoners also have access to weight training, step aerobics, and fitness facilities. The facility handbook also lists racquetball, bocce ball, horseshoes, music, hobby craft, and other hobbies as some of the recreational activities available. In addition, each week, movies are shown at the institutional channel, the Visiting Room, or the Base Theater.
The Federal Prison Inmates’ Clothing
According to the handbook, all inmates are provided with identical clothing. This includes four shirts, one belt, four pairs of green pants, four pairs of white T-shirts, four pairs of undershorts, six pairs of socks, one pair of safety shoes, a work jacket, a raincoat, and a ball hat. Everyone also gets three towels, two facecloths, two blankets, two sets of sheets, one pillowcase, one pillow, a small laundry bag, and a fresh laundry bag in addition to their compulsory uniform.
Available Job Options For Todd Chrisley In The Federal Prison
Todd Chrisley has yet to be assigned to a job, but he sure has several options. The base lieutenant will assign him to his permanent work detail after orientation. However, job options are available in different categories. They include food service, mechanical services, business office, health services, education, and recreation. Others include laundry services, sanitation, and camp maintenance, and they base their details on the local Naval facility.
It remains a difficult time for the Chrisleys. However, one can only hope that Todd finds a purpose during his time in prison.
