A new Ghost Rider is about to burn up the streets of the Marvel Universe in Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance. This new series continues Benjamin Percy’s work on the mythology of the flaming skull. This time, the Spirit of Vengeance bonds to a new host, leaving Johnny Blaze in the dust. Now, the hero must take on a new quest to regain the name and power of the Spirit before the new host uses it for darker purposes.
Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance
Benjamin Percy has been hard at work changing the mythos behind the Ghost Rider. His Ghost Rider series has seen Johnny Blaze deal with a double life as the Spirit of Vengeance. As Blaze aims to use his Spirit for a force of good, he patrols the streets of the Marvel Universe, righting the wrongs of man and demon alike.
Now Percy, alongside newbie Danny Kim, is completely changing what it means to be the Ghost Rider. Who is this new Spirit of Vengeance, and how did the Spirit free itself from Johnny Blaze? Is it true that the Ghost Rider cannot be a force for good, or is something larger at play? One thing is for sure: Whoever is now in control of the Spirit of Vengeance is not trying to use the demonic powers for good. The only hope for the Marvel Universe is that Johnny Blaze can stop them in time.
Capullo’s Cover
Marvel has revealed artist Greg Capullo’s hot cover for Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance #1. It depicts Johnny Blaze’s final rude as the flaming skull. Atop his trusty steed, Ghost Rider is center stage as he swings his chain-link whip around him. Behind him is a trail of flames as he races toward his destiny. This marks Capullo’s latest Marvel piece since returning to the publisher earlier this year. The cover will be available as a main cover and a Virgin Variant.
