Glen Powell‘s star is rising, and the actor has been securing great acting gigs in recent years. He has also earned heartthrob status, so to say things are looking good for him would be an accurate statement. But is the true measure of success his ability to sell condiments? It just might be!
Powell has been hard at work with his latest venture with Smash Kitchen, which is proving to be a must-have ingredient for any barbecue. To get the news out there, the Top Gun: Maverick actor posted a short video on Instagram and shared his thoughts and Smash Kitchen in the caption. “From backyard barbecues in Texas to Walmart shelves nationwide — Smash Kitchen is here to bring bold flavor and real ingredients to the American pantry,” the caption reads. “Built by Glen Powell and the Smash Kitchen team, we’ve elevated the classics — ketchup, mustard, mayo, and BBQ sauce — using organic, non-GMO ingredients and zero artificial nonsense.”
The message ends with a call-to-action for consumers to add these products to their kitchen shelves, and they certainly did not underestimate Powell’s marketability!
The comment section has come alive with reactions from fans (Powell has an impressive 2.6 million followers on Instagram). “I’ll buy anything he tells me to,” a comment reads. “Where can I find these products?” another fan asked. Even celebrities are getting in on the action with Taylor Lautner offering a fire emoji and writing, “OH OKAY” and Hassie Harrison saying she can’t wait to “stock up.” If the reactions is anything to go by, then this line of condiments is going to do very, very well!
The rest of us are left wondering: Is there anything Powell cannot do, and is he the ultimate catch? Perhaps this fan said it best with their comment: “You’re killing me! He’s hot, seems like a sweet guy, close to family, excellent actor, and now the man cooks as well?!!! There must be something wrong with this guy; he’s too perfect.”
Longtime fans of the actor will know this is not the first time he has shared his interest in cooking. As a Texan, he is all about barbecue. In a promotional video titled Meet the Hit Moms, Powell and his Hit Man costar Adria Arjona appeared alongside their mothers to discuss their childhoods and chow down on smoky meats from Franklin Barbeque, which Powell describes as “the best barbecue in Austin.” Also in the video, he reveals he is a “ribs guy” (you know, just in case you ever get the opportunity to buy him dinner).
Yes, we agree with fans, we will buy anything this man tells us to, especially because he knows his food!
