Negi Haruba’s Go Go Loser Ranger! manga has officially announced that there will be a television anime. An official website opened for the manga, revealing a special project video and visual. Haruba shared an illustration with this announcement to commemorate the anime’s announcement. As of now, Keiichi Sato (Tiger and Bunny) is directing the anime.
Haruba first launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2021. The manga’s seventh compiled volume shipped on October 17th. Currently, Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the manga.
The manga’s story takes place in a world where 13 years ago, a giant floating fortress appeared 10 kilometers in the sky. From it came an evil army called “Kaijin” started attacking humanity. The Kaijun have regenerative powers, so they are effectively immortal and pose a threat to humanity. A new organization called Ryujin Sentai Dragon Keeper featuring people with mysterious powers and weapons called Jingu continues to fight against the Kaijin to this very day. The website describes the anime as, “In truth, the invaders were subjugated within a year, forced to continue to crank out monster of the week for the Rangers to crush in front of their adoring fans! But one monster has had enough. Something has to change! He’ll rebel against the might of the Dragon Rangers and destroy them all… from the inside!”
“Go Go Loser Ranger”: Haruba and His Other Well-Known Work
Haruba first launched The Quintessential Quintuplets manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2017. The series ended in February 2020. Kodansha USA is currently releasing the manga digitally and in print. The manga has also inspired an anime that premiered in January 2019. Most recently, the franchise launched a movie that served as a sequel anime film to the first and a finale for the entire story. Currently, the anime movie is available in English and Japanese audio with subtitles.
The anime’s first season premiered in January 2019 and aired for a total of 12 episodes, and the Quintessential Quintuplets anime’s second season aired from January 2021 to March 2021. Currently, Negi Haruba’s Quintessential Quintuplets anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
