Over at Gog.com they currently have a big sale going on. And for the next 48 hours they’re also giving away a free game to everyone.

Gog, just like Steam, are known for doing amazing sales every so often, and the current sale doesn’t disappoint. With a mixture of both bundles and and individual titles, there is something for everyone, with price points to match.

Gog has an extensive catalogue of games on offer

Highlights of the sale include:

  • The Walking Dead – Season 1, 2 and 400 Days for $16.17
  • The Wolf Among Us – The Complete Season for $7.29
  • Best of Bullfrog – 11 Games for $13.09

And if all of this wasn’t enough, Gog are also giving away some free games if you spend a certain amount of money during the sale.

  • Spend $1 – unlock SimCity 2000: Special Edition
  • Spend $20 – unlock S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky
  • Spend $50 – unlock XenoNauts

Although Gog is best known for the fact that they sell older games that would otherwise be difficult to come by, they’re also known for their stance on DRM. Unlike other retailers, Gog do not include DRM of any kind on any game they sell. Gog simply supply you with the installer and any supporting materials that come with the game and let you do what you want with them.

The free game currently being given away is BattleRealms, a real-time strategy title originally released in 2001. To claim the gift, simply go to the website, scroll past the initial bundle of games, and click the “Grab Your Gift” banner. An e-mail will then be sent to your account confirming your order – as long as you have already set up an account.

The current discounts on offer will run for the next 2 days, before changing to a new bunch of deals. The whole Summer Sale is expected to run until June 21. The sale is available on both Gog.com and through Gog Galaxy; Gog’s brand new desktop client which is still currently in beta and available here.
