After the JAK Slash underbarrel which has many better counterparts like the DR-6 Handstop, MW3 Season 5 gets back on the old tracks by introducing us to a new conversion kit called the JAK Protean. The name sounds like it’s a weapon for gym bros, but this kit really is something in terms of power and fire rate. The JAK Protean conversion kit is available to unlock and equip in MW3 and Warzone Season 5, and I suggest you do it as quickly as possible; this thing laughs at the STG44 loadout meta right now. Unlocked it? Nice! But you still have that RAAL MG JAK Protean reload bug, aren’t you? Oh, we’ve got a fix for that one.
How To Unlock JAK Protean Conversion Kit in MW3 and Warzone
You can unlock the JAK Protean conversion kit by completing 5 out of 21 MW3 Season 5 challenges. These objectives are separated in MW3 Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone, which you can freely mix like doing 3 from Battle Royale and get the other 2 done by killing zombies or playing Small Maps Moshpit game mode.
Best JAK Protean Conversion Kit Loadout
The JAK Protean conversion kit offers fire rate and power, but it takes away your underbarrel and barrel in return. Hence, you can’t do much to avoid a ton of recoil that comes with the full auto version of this gun. The best to deal with the horizontal recoil and gunkick here is the Quartermaster muzzle.
Then you can give it more accuracy by adding the Stip-40 Grip rear grip and Demo H-40 stock. These are the only options out there unless everyone would have preferred a Paracord Grip underbarrel.
No need for ammunition since we’ve got no HG or LG rounds to put on our RAAL MG JAK Protean kit. In the end, if you’re into DMRs and want to use this weapon in semi-auto fashion, consider equipping a long-range optic like the Schlager Night View. If not, JAK Glassless or the Corio Eagleseye are some of the best options.

RAAL MG JAK Protean Review: RIP DMRs, ARs, and LMGs
First, beating every AR and LMG in terms of power in full auto and then kicking the DMRs out of the picture on semi-auto? The JAK Protean conversion kit is a treasure in Warzone. For MW3, however, the tanky movement doesn’t just let you do your best; unless you’re a camper.
The only downside to this weapon is the recoil pattern on full auto. And the fact that you can’t equip any underbarrels to it means that you just have to adapt, which isn’t everyone’s daily task with Call of Duty weapons. Nonetheless, the semi-auto power of the MW3 RAAL MG JAK Protean kit is one broken asset in Warzone.
