While we would all love to see Grace Howard get a crush on our Proxies, she only has one true love: machines. This Belobog Heavy Industries member will be the first one to drool at the sight of a new machine, but that doesn’t mean she won’t get her hands dirty with them. Grace packs quite the punch in Zenless Zone Zero, and while not the best DPS, she can be a great ZZZ Anomaly Agent with the right build.
Best W-Engines for Grace Howard in Zenless Zone Zero
To get this ZZZ build going, it is important to know which W-Engine works best with our dear Grace Howard. As one of the few Anomaly Agents in Zenless Zone Zero, Grace’s build will revolve around increasing the potency of said element. Once she applies the Anomaly effect to foes, her damage will increase and even allow other Agents in your team to hit harder. Here are the ones we recommend:
W-Engine | Effect |
---|---|
Fusion Compiler (S-Rank) | Increases ATK by 12%. When using a Special Attack or EX Special Attack, the equipper’s Anomaly Proficiency is increased by 25 for 8 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
Electro-Lip Gloss (A-Rank) | When there are enemies inflicted with Attribute Anomaly on the field, the equipper’s ATK increases by 10%, and they deal an additional 15/% more DMG to the target. |
Weeping Gemini (A-Rank | Whenever a squad member inflicts an Attribute Anomaly on an enemy, the equipper gains a buff, increasing Anomaly Proficiency by 30, stacking up to 4 times. This effect expires when the target recovers from Stun or is defeated. The duration of each stack is calculated separately. |
Undoubtedly, the best W-Engine for Grace Howard is the Fusion Compiler. Given how Grace will be using Special Attacks constantly, this item will increase her Anomaly Proficiency considerably. However, since it is an S-Rank W-Engine, players should consider Weeping Gemini as the next best option. Every time someone inflicts an enemy with the Anomaly effect, the wielder’s Anomaly Proficiency will increase as well, making it great for Grace.
Best Discs
Since Grace is all about Electric Anomaly damage, there is only one Disc Set that goes with her, the Thunder Metal set. You need the complete set to increase Grace’s damage, or else she’ll lose a lot of DPS during a fight. While you could combine this set with others, we don’t recommend it as it won’t let Grace shine. Regarding stats, these are the ones you should prioritize:
- Anomaly Proficiency (Main Stat/Disc 4)
- Electric DMG (Main Stat/ Disc 5)
- Anomaly Mastery (Main Stat/Disc 6)
- Anomaly Proficiency (Best sub-stat)
Best Team Comps and Rotation
Grace Howard’s build works perfectly in the overpowered Shock team of Zenless Zone Zero. Ideally, this will only work against enemies who have an Electric weakness. While you could use this composition against other foes, it is a bit situational and will shine only in a few scenarios. Still, it is one of the best teams you can get right now.
Premium Team | Free-to-Play Team |
---|---|
Rina – Support Grace Howard – DPS Anton – DPS | Grace Howard – DPS Anby – Stunner Anton – DPS |
Regardless of the team, you should always have Grace and Anton together. Grace can apply Shock extremely fast to all enemies. With a good build-up, Anton can then trigger the Shock effect each time he lands a fourth critical hit. In the case of Rina, we added her to the Premium team because her buffs are fantastic for Electric users. However, if you don’t have her, you can swap her for Anby, as she can stun enemies fast. Also, for a good Bangboo, we recommend the following:
Bangboo | Effects |
---|---|
Plugboo (S-Rank) | Unleashes an EM cannon attack on the enemy, doing Electric DMG and accumulating Electric Anomaly Buildup. Electromancer: When there are at least 2 Electric Attribute characters in your squad, Bangboo Chain Attack inflicts 100% more Anomaly Buildup. |
Electroboo (A-Rank) | Charges the enemy and continuously electrocutes the target, doing Electric DMG. |
If you want to pick any of the two Bangboos we listed, you should go for Plugboo. Besides the Electric damage, it’ll also increase Anomaly Buildup, one of Grace’s key features in Zenless Zone Zero, which is great for this particular build. And, in terms of rotation, always open with Anby or Rina to stun or buff, respectively. Continue with Grace to increase the Anomaly buildup, and keep swapping between her and Anton throughout the fight.
Overall, Grace Howard is one of the best sub-DPS Agents you can get. She might not be ideal to the team’s face and the main DPS, but she packs a punch thanks to her Shock Grenades and other skills. Furthermore, getting her Special Attack out is quite easy as it doesn’t require a lot of energy. So, for beginners, Grace is one of the best ZZZ Agents you can get to build a team around her.
