The First Dose missions are some of the most fun in GTA 5 Online, but some players have a hard time figuring out how to start them. This six-mission series delivers pretty much everything you’d expect from Rockstar, including chances to make new friends, commit some crimes, and expand your criminal empire. Los Santos Drug Wars gives online players a chance to take control of the black market in new and exciting ways, and it all starts here. This guide will tell you everything you need to know to start the First Dose missions in GTA 5 Online.

Overview and Mission Order

The First Dose missions are a series of contact missions in GTA 5 Online, introduced as part of the Los Santos Drug Wars update. During these missions, up to four players can join forces to take on their enemies. Just like the main story missions, they feature a good deal of variety, taking place at different times of day and having different fail conditions to keep things interesting. There are six First Dose missions:

  • Welcome to the Troupe
  • Designated Driver
  • Fatal Incursion
  • Uncontrolled Substance
  • Make War not Love
  • Off the Rails

To start the First Dose missions in GTA 5 Online, you must begin by taking a phone call from Ron Jakowsk. You’ll then meet the gang leader Dax at Ace Liquor in Sandy Shores. Once you arrive at Ace Liquor, step on the yellow mission indicator to kick this quest chain off. There’s a new gang in town, the Fooliganz, who have taken over Trevor’s old property. Dax has big plans to take over the city’s drug trade, but your meeting will be brief, as you’ll almost immediately have to help Dax escape an attack from The Lost MC.

Though you’ll succeed in driving back The Lost, you won’t be able to prevent them from stealing Dax’s Journey II. After you save him, Dax will ask you to retrieve the Journey II from Millar’s Fishery Co over the Alamo Sea. This mission officially commences the First Dose questline and serves as the launching ground for a whole new crime wave. It’s not the toughest questline in the game, so you shouldn’t need cheats to get through it. Completing the First Dose missions unlocks The Freakshop, Brickade 6×6, Acid Lab, Fooligan Jobs, and Last Dose.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
