Their are two types of being in this universe. Those who dance, and those who do not.

Simple, yet elegant words from Drax – words that were actually a precursor to simultaneously comforting and insulting Starlord, go figure – and the good way to describe what fans of Guardians of the Galaxy feel like doing after seeing the teaser trailer, dancing!

The trailer begins with a crescendo of the resurging 70’s track by Blue Swede and GOTG theme song, “Hooked on a Feeling.” While it doesn’t reveal enough to spoil the story, the teaser, and the accompanying poster did reveal some interesting information.

The teaser image features the usual suspects (lined up as such) Starlord, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora and Tiny Groot accompanied by two of the main antagonists from the previous installment, Yondu, and Nebula. Fans have speculated who the next heroes, or antiheroes, to join the Guardians would be and these two teasers point toward it being the blue duo.

The teasers feature Yondu, sporting a much larger fin atop his noggin than before, walking alongside a walkway with rocket raccoon encompassed by a sea of raining men. While Yondu makes sense as an ally, being the forgiving father figure to Starlord, Nebula would make an interesting possible addition.

The trailer features the cyborg assassin being forced to her knees and uncloaked, a movie cliche that could see the adopted daughter of Thanos aligning with the Guardians to fight a common enemy. The Villain for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s probably that Thanos will be involved in some way.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 releases in the US theaters on May 5, 2017, and will be directed by James Gunn. Until then make sure to check back here for all of your Guardians and all things nerd related news, and be sure to let us know in the comments how you feel about the teaser!
