Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney showed Instagram that her mindset is glass half full as she delivered an impressive stretch while in high heels back in 2021. The California-born gymnast and Gold Medal winner opted for a stylish baggy romper look as she lifted her leg high for her 1 million+ followers, also using her caption to show that her thought process is always positive.
Delighting fans with a reminder of her skillset, Maroney opted for a high-end fashion shoot feel as she modeled a brown jumpsuit and cream heels. The Glow by McKayla founder earned over 50,000 likes for her share, including one from fellow Olympian Simone Biles.
McKayla Maroney Impresses Instagram With Stretch Photo
Posing from a doorway that may well have been an elevator one, McKayla lifted her right leg high and around head level as she shot the camera a fierce gaze.
Sending out a confident smile as she wore a slouchy, medium-brown one-piece, the brunette added in a sky-high pair of off-white stiletto heels. Puckering up with a red lip, McKayla kept glam as she sported a full face of makeup, opting for plenty of cheek blush and a defined eyebrow. See the photo below!
A Positive Mindset Always Helps
In a caption, McKayla wrote: “Sometimes it takes one door closing, for a better one to open.”
Fans seem impressed. “Oh my leg hurts,” one replied, adding cry-face emoji. McKayla was also sent fire and heart emoji by her adoring followers. The former GEICO ambassador is known for dishing out advice, particularly on her Glowy by McKayla wellness Instagram, where topics include diet, exercise, mental health, and motivation.
In September of last year, McKayla took to her Glowy account with a mention of her professional gymnastics career, from which she retired in 2016.
“Growing up in a gym, listening to the commands of my coaches, doing whatever they told me to do despite how I felt — Made me strong, tough, resilient, and well, good at gymnastics…,” she began, then revealing that the one “muscle” not getting worked was the “boundaries” one.
Urging fans to consider kindness in their behavior towards others, McKayla added:
“Boundaries are a SKILL too!!!! and unless it’s something we are taught, how are we supposed to become any good at it? Being polite is also a skill, and some of us women are naturally more confident in that area, and lean on it at our own detriment.”
Maroney here noted that women wanting to seem “polite” can, in effect, be doing themselves damage. The Miage Beauty partner concluded that “you’ll end up hating your life without good boundaries.”
