343 Industries announced that players can gain more XP in Halo Infinite beta in their first six games. 343 Industries community manager, John Junyszek, said in a tweet the development team listens to fans’ feedbacks and does their best to bring a better experience for them.
“When we made our initial change to progression, which added Daily ‘Play 1 Game’ Challenges, updated Weekly Challenges, and doubled the duration of 2XP Boosts, we promised that we’d monitor the data and make additional changes if needed,” Junyszek said. “Now, it’s time to follow up on that.”
“After seeing how XP was earned with those changes, we noticed that players were starting their sessions with slower payouts than we’d like. To address this, we will be increasing the XP payout for the first 6 matches of each day,” Junyszek continued. Players complained that the gaining XP is set for specific action which makes the leveling up difficult.
Players will gain more XP in their first six games. The amount of XP decreases with each game until it reaches the seventh. After that, each game will have a certain amount of 50XP per game. The first game will give players 300XP, the second 200XP, and so on, and until it reaches the seventh game and 50XP per match. This way players can gain more XP daily in Halo Infinite beta.
“We believe this increase will help address those slower initial payouts while also benefiting those of you jumping on each and every day,” Junyszek said. “We know many of you want even larger changes and we’re committed to doing so, but those will take time. We made this update based on data and player feedback, and we’ll monitor its impact after we push it live tomorrow morning.”
Halo Infinite beta multiplayer was launched in beta on November 15 and it is currently available for download. Halo Infinite will be released fully with its campaign on December 8 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
