Halo Infinite Co-Op Delayed
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Parts of Halo Infinite have been delayed yet again. Two of the most requested elements by fans, Halo Infinite co-op campaign and forge modes, have been delayed until late next year.

According to a report from Eurogamer, 343 head of creative Joseph Staten confirmed that the co-op campaign won’t launch until May 2022 at the earliest, and forge mode will release even later than that.

Staten couldn’t confirm official dates, but he did gives players an insight into the Halo Infinite delay:

We can’t commit to any hard dates right now, because as we’re seeing with this multiplayer beta, other things might move up in the priority stack for us. If it turns out that our progression system just isn’t working the way that we intended, if we need to move some of these bigger rocks sooner, then we as a team will make those decisions and will clearly communicate to our fans why we’re why we’re doing certain things.”

343 had already announced that the co-op campaign and forge modes would not be included in the launch game. However, the co-op campaign was initially supposed to release in Season 2, and forge mode would follow after in Season 3. What was supposed to be a three-month delay has now turned into a six-month delay. Now, Season 2 might begin in May 2022, and Season 3 may release around August or September.

The solo campaign for Halo Infinite will be available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on December 8, 2021, and it will be available on Xbox Game Pass upon release.
