At Gamescom 2018, Microsoft announced that Xbox Game Pass will be adding Halo: The Master Chief Collection to its library September 1st. It will join other Microsoft exclusives like State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, and Halo 5: Guardians.

The Master Chief Collection first released in 2014 and included the following games:

  • Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
  • Halo 2: Anniversary
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 4

Halo

When The Master Chief Collection comes to Game Pass, it will also bring about a huge update for the game. This update will add Xbox One X enhancements for all four titles, faster loading times, and improved matchmaking.

While it isn’t perfect, this collection has been the best way to replay this legendary series in its entirety since first releasing a few years ago. If you are an Xbox or just a Halo fan, I would highly recommend taking a look at this assortment of titles once it drops on Xbox Game Pass in September.

This wasn’t the only Xbox Game Pass news to be delivered at Gamescom. Microsoft announced that the monthly subscription service would be getting a new mobile app. This app is in beta now for both iOS and Android. While you can’t play any games via the app, you can take a look at your library and begin downloading new Game Pass titles to your console.

If you aren’t a Game Pass subscriber yet and are willing to give it a try in order to get your hands on The Master Chief Collection, Xbox has a deal for you. Microsoft is offering a special two-month subscription for just $2.

What are your thoughts on this news? Are you excited to see Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Game Pass? What do you think of the new mobile app? Let us know in the comments and be sure to follow us here at The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
