A new series of eBooks based off of the audiobook, Harry Potter: A History of Magic, are arriving soon! They also draw their inspiration from a British Library exhibition of the same name and take readers deeper into the history of magic.
There will be four non-fiction short reads that are each themed around a Hogwarts lesson. This includes Divination and Astrology, Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions and Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures. These books discuss the history and folklore that is the basics of the magic in Harry Potter. They also include line drawings from artist Rohan Daniel Eason.
These eBooks are adapted from the audiobooks Harry Potter – A Journey Through a History of Magic, which was narrated by Natalie Dormer. They make learning the characters and incidents of the real history of magic easier to read and carry about for fans. These books will also feature notes, manuscript pages, and sketches from A History of Magic.
They will be published throughout 2019 in English, French, Italian, and German, initially. Currently, they are available to pre-order on Amazon UK, Amazon US, Apple, and Kobo. The first to be released at the same time will be Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Potions and Herbology. Fans can expect them on June 27th. The exact titles for each eBook will be Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures.
