An influencer decided to travel alone to Hawaii for an impromptu vacation. While chilling on the beach, however, she noticed that a man was staring at her, nonstop, freaking her out. As a result, she decided to change hotels, fearing for her safety.
The influencer in question is Kayla Malecc, who has over 17 million followers on TikTok. Previously, she announced that she had decided to take herself on a trip to Hawaii, and upon arrival, she felt a sense of calmness from the ocean and the warmth of the sun.
However, in a recent TikTok, she explained that, while on the beach, she felt “impending doom,” which is an intense feeling that one is in danger. As she prepared to go into the water, she noticed a strange man at the entrance of the hotel, staring at her. He, after Kayla looked at him, turned his head away.
While feeling nervous, Kayla went into the water regardless. After getting out, however, her uneasiness wouldn’t subside, and she went to gather her belongings. With the impending doom reaching unprecedented levels, she then looked at her Hawaii hotel’s entrance, searching for the creepy man. He was still there, staring at her.
“He is staring into my soul at this point,” Kayla said. “And the second that he notices that I’m staring at him back […], he gets up and starts walking towards me.”
Impending Doom, Switching Hotels
The strange man walked out of the entrance and onto the beach, walking toward Kayla, according to her. At about 20 feet away from her, his stare was unending, and no passing group of friends would deter him from his alleged intentions.
“At this point, my heart is [expletive] racing. I’m like, ‘Dude, what is he about to do to me at this beach?‘” she added.
And when she feared for her safety the most, the man just decided to turn around and walk away. He, however, entered Kayla’s hotel, but he was nowhere to be found.
Users were equally creeped out by her story. One user said, “Impending doom is the worst.” Another one commented, “This is why you don’t post where you are until after you get home, especially when you have a huge following.” A third one added, “Babe, go home. You aren’t overreacting.”
While initially thinking about cutting her Hawaii trip short, Kayla shared that she decided to switch hotels instead.
