Hailey Bieber’s Dad Asks Fans to Pray for Her
A recent post from Stephen Baldwin suggests a crack may have finally emerged somewhere in their marriage. On Monday, Hailey Bieber’s dad took to his Instagram stories to share a video of Justin Bieber singing a gospel theme and playing the guitar. It included the caption,
“Christians please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord.”
His call to pray for Hailey Bieber followed an earlier post by All Things Possible Ministries founder Victor Marx featuring the same video and screen caption. In his Instagram post, Victor, 58, claimed he seldom posted about famous people but felt the need to do so in the case of Hailey and Justin Bieber. He then revealed that his wife, Eileen Marx, and Hailey’s mom Kennya Deodato Baldwin often prayed together for the duo. While he failed to establish the cause for prayer, he shared a generalized statement about celebrities writing,
“There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face and also the enemy doesn’t want them to draw closer to Jesus. So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that is intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage, and life in general. So thank you.”
The Biebers’ Marriage in Jeopardy?
Naturally, the call to pray for Hailey and Justin Bieber left fans concerned for the couple. Many extended their well wishes and prayers to the married duo, also commending the evangelist for not giving up on them. One netizen wrote via comments,
“What happened? Are they okay?”
Another concerned netizen wrote,
“Justin and Hailey you both got this. Never take your eyes off of Jesus. Give him all the praise and glory he deserves. I will keep you in my prayers.”
Another commented,
“With all Justin has been through because of being in the limelight, we should be praying for him.”
Netizens have since created several theories as to why the couple needed public prayers. The most prevalent theory centers around Justin and Hailey’s marital woes or a looming divorce. Other theories flying around the internet include a recent miscarriage, their dwindling faith in God owing to their celebrity status, troubled lifestyle, or a potentially fatal health challenge.
