The Hellboy reboot is coming along quite nicely as the first trailer for the movie will release this Thursday, December 20th. IGN got their hands on an exclusive poster for the film, which you can see here:

Along with that, Hellboy star David Harbour went to Instagram to reveal a motion-poster for the film, featured below:

Best known for his role as Jim Hopper on the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, David Harbour will portray Hellboy in this R-Rated reboot. Starring alongside Harbour is Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Thomas Haden Church, Daniel Dae Kim, Penelope Mitchell, and Sasha Lane. Neil Marshall (Game of Thrones, Lost in Space) will direct.

Little is known about the overall plot of the movie, other the fact that Marshall will keep everything close to the source material. In an interview with EW, creator Mike Mignola had this to say regarding Marshall’s take on the character:

“At various times I’ve jumped in and been much more active in the screenplay than I ever was on the Del Toro movies. But I did nothing so far as design stuff on the movie,” said Mignola. “Guillermo wanted me as a concept artist, but on this movie, there were other concept artists. I came in and I looked at some stuff, but they were trying to do something so close to what’s on the comics that they really leaned on what had been done by Duncan [Fegredo] and me in the comics.”

Here is a short synopsis from IMDB:

“Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.”

We won’t have to wait long to get our first trailer for Hellboy. The film’s release will only be a few short months later, April 12th, 2019.
