After many months of waiting, Chief Rebel’s MODA has finally launched on early access. If you have no idea of what I’m talking about, I’m referring to Fellowship, a game that combines the best aspects of MMO dungeoneering and classes to create a dungeon-focused experience that you can play in a party of four. Since Fellowship will be on early access during launch, and many gamers will try to jump into it to go straight into the dungeon action without going through the grind, here’s a quick list of everything you can experience during this period.
Fellowship Launches on Early Access
If you didn’t know, Fellowship just opened its early access gates for all players who are willing to see how this game fares as it goes from an early state to its full launch. While it hosted a few public playtests before, it is now the real deal, and it brings many features that some gamers didn’t experience in the past. So, let’s dive into what you can expect in Fellowship.
For starters, the holy trinity of MMO roles is here: DPS, Healer, and Tank classes available for all players. Currently, there are more DPS characters to pick, and two Healers and two Tanks. However, you can change your hero at any time from the hub, in case you’re finding one role a bit difficult to understand or just want to try something else.
Those who weren’t part of the playtests should expect a scaling difficulty that makes every dungeon run feel different. There are seasonal updates and dungeon modifiers that will never let players out-level a dungeon, meaning that there will always be a challenge for everyone, while also making all instances relevant. On top of that, there are many challenging bosses for players to tackle, each with its unique mechanics that will put your dungeoneering skills to the test.
If you dare to brave the most challenging dungeons, you’ll find a lot of powerful loot to let you increase your character’s power. Of course, the harder the run, the better the gear, so pushing yourself to do harder content is always a good idea. Assuming you’re up for the task.
Lastly, if you want to support the developers, there are several Supporter Packs you can get that provide cosmetics for some of the characters. And if you only want to jump straight into the action, Fellowship has an introductory offer that will run from the game’s early access launch to October 23. That’s a pretty great incentive to dive in.
In any case, Fellowship is already looking like a terrific experience for those who enjoy the fast-paced aspects of MMO dungeons, but don’t want to go through the hassle of seeing a story or reaching max level to start enjoying the game finally. All you have to do is pick a character, smack some enemies, and get that sweet loot to become more powerful.
Fellowship is available now on early access through Steam.
