What would you do if your teenage child was getting berated by their boss at work? They wanted to take on more responsibility, but got mistreated instead. But would you step in if it wasn’t your kid? One Ohio woman did, with a ferocity we could use more of from people. When she stopped at Pizza Hut, she witnessed an employee being so disrespected that it brought the young girl to tears.
TikToker Pceluvtosha, ‘Tosha,’ was involved in the confrontation and shared the video herself. It zooms in on a Pizza Hut manager working in the back, with text that states they were mistreating their employee. To make matters worse, the employee was a young girl of teenage age and a minor. Tosha states the manager was “belittling her and talking crap about her and to her face” to the point it had the young girl “crying.”
Tosha immediately approaches the employee and tells her she doesn’t have to put up with the manager’s treatment. “You should walk out right now,” Tosha says, then suggests filing a report with HR. When she’s done giving the teenage employee advice, she sets her sights on the manager when she approaches.
“I got you on video treating her like that and talking about her like that. You’re gonna go viral for real,” Tosha says, then tells her she’d “beaten” her up had the girl been her child. All the while, Tosha is using language that would make sailors blush. “She is literally standing here crying because of how ignorant,” Tosha goes on.
Apparently, this isn’t the manager’s first time, either. According to Tosha, she’s seen the manager do this “every time” she went there and had been “the moment” she walked in. And if that’s the case, there absolutely should be an investigation. In fact, Pizza Hut’s official TikTok account commented, requesting more information:
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Would you mind sending us a DM on X or Instagram with the stores address?”
Tosha liked the comment, but shared in the thread she doubts Pizza Hut will “do anything” about it, anyway. Pizza Hut has not commented further.
However, Tosha shared more in the comments with an update post:
“Girl reached out to me, she quit after this and thanked me for sticking up for her. ALSO there were three or four other people (Men) who were in the lobby and said nothing.”
Pizza Hut may or may not follow up, but that teenager didn’t leave feeling invisible. She left knowing someone had her back when others chose silence. That may be the real takeaway here. Sometimes it only takes one person to say something, but far too often, no one does.
