‘He’s Literally On The Verge Of Tears’: Two Somalian Women Roast Minnesota ‘Bigot’ Who Bragged About Being Born Here

He thought he could get away with it

A normal afternoon walk turned into a heated exchange between two Somalian women and a Minnesota local over movement on the sidewalk. The exchange was captured in a video posted on Reddit. The clip had a text overlay that read, “POV: You get hate-crimed because you’re Somali and Hijabi. TikTok, help us find him!!!. The man was seen standing in front of the women, holding a dog on a leash while asking the women not to behave as though they owned the sidewalk. Soon, the two parties began to exchange insults heavy with expletives.

The man then said, “No, I’m right where I was born and raised,” causing one of the women to call him a loser as she informed him she was also born in America. Vehemently defending himself and insulting the women and their religion, he went on and on until it seemed like he was trying to catch his breath. One of the women argued that the man hated himself so much that he hated the world. “Look at your detention. You all look the same,” the man said, talking in the face of one of them. When the woman took out her phone to record the man, he hit her phone right out of her hand, saying she could not record him in public, although the other woman had been recording the entire encounter.

Minnesota Supports The Women

The clip sparked intense discussions as online communities mocked the man’s emotional breakdown when the women refused to be intimidated by their aggressor. Users criticized the underlying cowardice, entitlement, and hostility.

Mocking the man’s visible distress, a commenter wrote, “He’s literally on the verge of tears.” Another joked, “He escalated it and then realized the women weren’t backing down and resorted to smacking her phone. They were hurting his feelings, listen to his voice lol💀💀.”  An individual argued that the man just regurgitated political talking points and was visibly taking pride in his prejudice:

“This guy is literally channeling Tucker Carlson/Megan Kelly right there. Fukn bigot, but he seems proud to be one so I’m not sure he can be shamed into change.”

They added that the man appeared to be old enough to be retired, so workplace consequences would probably be off the table. A sarcastic user remarked on his attempt to act tough despite carrying a fanny pack. Enjoying the apparent backlash on social media, a Redditor emphasized that constitutional rights do not shield anyone from the consequences, while someone argued that the man would not have confronted the group if they had been men instead. A lighthearted user joked, “That dog wants no part of this foul bs.”

Ultimately, the Minnesota clip highlighted that standing firm against intimidation, more often than not, neutralizes the aggressor’s attempt.
