Squanc Games studio director Mike Fridley announced in a press release that “The fans have spoken. And spoken. And spoken. We’ve been thrilled with High On Life‘s reception since it launched in December. Our PlayStation fans have been slightly less thrilled, which is why we’re so excited to share that it’s coming their way very soon. Like now, soon! Thank you for your patience!”
The announcement was also accompanied by a brand new launch trailer, which notably does not include Justin Roiland’s voice. Between the game’s original launch and this port, Roiland was embroiled in many legal issues surrounding his personal life, including a felony domestic battery and false imprisonment charge. While these charges were dismissed, he still had removed himself from Squanch Games and was fired from his role working on Rick and Morty. In the latter project, we know he will be replaced, and it seems as though the same may be true for his role in High On Life as well.
