Hilaria Baldwin says there is a good excuse why her Spanish accent seemingly changes from time to time. The reality star and wife of Alec Baldwin is over fans mocking her accent and is ready to reveal the reason why, and why it is not her fault.
In her new memoir Manual Not Included, the 41-year-old yoga instructor and author explains she has a medical condition that plays a major role in her speech patterns. Hilaria Baldwin claims that due to her ADHD and dyslexia, her brain just works differently, resulting in a bizarre accent change.

The Daily Mail reports that Hilaria Baldwin admits that her speech is greatly impacted by her medical condition. The memoir also addresses long-standing backlash over her cultural identity, particularly her past claims of being Spanish despite being born and raised in Boston.
Of course, Baldwin fans remain a bit skeptical about Hilaria’s accent reveal. “That’s a new one for me,” one fan comments. “So now if you criticize her for her fake accent and personality, you’ll be guilty of criticizing a person with disabilities? Oh, please, she only wants attention.”
Hilaria unpacks a lot in her tell-all book about her medical conditions and the toll it has taken on her over the years. The 41-year-old model and mother of seven reveals that the diagnosis greatly impacted her speech, reading, listening, focus, memory, and self-confidence.
“I have a brain that is one part English, one part Spanish, seven dollops of mom’s brain, and a heavy pour of distraction,’ she wrote. “I just exist in a land where sometimes I speak one language and sometimes I speak another. Sometimes I mix them up.”
Hilaria Baldwin Shuts Down Gold Digger Claims in New Memoir
Hilaria Baldwin wastes no time addressing one of the biggest rumors that have followed her for years regarding her marriage to Alec Baldwin, that she’s a gold digger.
The 41-year-old makes it clear within the first few pages that she’s not in it for the money and dedicates a good portion of the book to proving it. She claims the age gap brought on plenty of scrutiny and speculation.
“I’ve lived with these attacks for a while now,” she wrote. “If you’re a successful gold digger, you have one kid. Spend a few years with your husband. Then get out of the marriage and take his money.”
However, that is not the case according to Hilaria Baldwin, who now shares seven children with her husband, Alec. “Seven kids shouldn’t be in the gold-digging curriculum, and I would probably receive a solid D– for this choice.”
While their marriage has not been a bed of roses, Hilaria reveals that the most challenging time came after the birth of their first two children. Things were so rough for a while that Hilaria admits she considered divorce. Despite the bad times, they worked through the rough patch and renewed their vows on their fifth wedding anniversary.
Married, now for a dozen years, the couple feels they have gotten through the toughest times and are ready to take on everything that comes next. With seven children, you know there will be much more to come for Alec and Hilaria Baldwin.
Hilaria Baldwin’s memoir, Manual Not Included, is available in bookstores now.
