Apple Arcade is a game subscription service that offers unlimited access to a growing collection of games without ads or in-app purchases. It launched in 2019. The service prides itself on its compatibility with Apple TV, allowing users to take their games from their pockets to HD or 4K on their television screens.
That compatibility is a plus for games like Hitchhiker with beautiful visuals.

The subscription service has previously made headlines with the release of World of Demons as well as a scaled-down version of NBA 2K21.
Hitchhiker was recently named the Apple Arcade Game of the Month according to a review by Gamesradar.
Hitchhiker is well worth your time. Put some headphones on, play it in the dark when you’re alone. It’s not that it’s scary, though it’s unsettling at times, but it’s just so atmospheric. It’s a great reminder that these small screens in our pockets are capable of outsized, moody experiments that are hard to find on any platform.”
Versus Evil has previously published Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and The Banner Saga trilogy. Mad About Pandas has released titles such as Ubisoft’s Galaxy Racers, and The Great Jitters: Pudding Panic.
