Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw. Since Hogwarts Legacy’s release, fans have been asking the age-old question. Which Hogwarts Legacy House is the most popular? While the game doesn’t officially keep a record of this data, there is a way to check. Most copies of the game come with an achievement that practically every player gets during normal gameplay. It’s the one for finding the Map Chamber as whatever house you fall under. By tracking the percentage of players that got this achievement, we can effectively track what percentage of players are in which house.
Right after the launch of Hogwarts Legacy, it was clear Slytherin was the favorite. Gryffindor came in second place, followed by Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Across all boards, Xbox and PlayStation, this stays true. However, the Steam edition of the game starts to tell a slightly different story. While the overall lead here is still Slytherin, some minor differences exist when considering the Steam achievements.
What Are the Hogwarts Legacy Most Popular Houses Now?
On the Steam side of things, there’s a little bit of a shift. Both because of some time that’s passed since release and the alternate achievement site, the numbers are definitely a little different. Slytherin ranks at 27.6% of player decisions, with Ravenclaw in second rather than third at 22.9%. Gryffindor is in solid third place, making up to 21% of players’ decisions. Last is Hufflepuff, coming in at 13% of the player’s decision. It’s worth mentioning that our data is just a tad incomplete. While the game is out for those with Steam, a PS5, or an Xbox Series X, there are still undocumented players. Soon Hogwarts Legacy will release for the Xbox One and the Ps4. With millions of players on the way to the wizarding world, we will surely see an adjustment of those numbers fairly soon.
