Honkai Star Rail Brings Back an Old Mechanic for a New Area

I have far too little RAM to understand such complex matters

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

HoYoverse has already made clear that the Peanony chapter ends with version 2.3, at least for now. This, along with the drip marketing of two new characters, the teaser for others, and the new alternative outfit for March 7th, show that Trailblazer will return to its previous stop before Penacony. Additionally, new leaks point to Honkai Star Rail revisiting the Xianzhou Alliance, a familiar setting for many players, with more areas to discover. Although some mechanics players experienced in the Xianzhou Luofu will return to these new map parts, only some are happy about it.

In these Honkai Star Rail leaks appear a new area similar to a prison or dungeon chamber with characteristic elements of the Xianzhou Hexafleet. Several fans compared this map with the Chorh-Gom Prison from Kung Fu Panda, a dark and gloomy place where Tai Lung escapes. But the real thrill comes in the form of new puzzles. Here, players must handle a Cycrane to light on torches in several floating platforms to activate the centerpiece. Many players were happy to see these puzzles again and would not end up in oblivion, but they would have a new twist in this future update.

Other people are not happy about returning to these robotic cranes, though, mostly because of the controllers. The main complaint is that the ascending and descending mechanics are poorly responsive and difficult to use. We understand these concerns and hope the dev team will work on fixing how to drive the cranes by the time this update arrives. Until now, it is unknown which version of Honkai Star Rail these leaks correspond to, but we will surely have the return of the Xianzhou, and it is not so far away. Rumor has it that these puzzles and new maps could even arrive for the 2.4 update.
