One of the most shocking reveals for Honkai Star Rail today was the announcement of Imbibitor Lunae, also known as 5-star Dan Heng. We saw leaks of this character a while ago, but there wasn’t a lot of information regarding him. Many speculated it would be a new version of Dan Heng, and now that HoYoverse has confirmed it, we’re more than glad! According to the official post, this character will wield the Imaginary element and tread the Path of Destruction. It is uncertain when this character will arrive as a playable character, but we’re happy to see the Imaginary roster expanding so soon.

Those who haven’t followed the recent leaks might be shocked to learn a character is getting a 5-star version, such as is the case for Dan Heng or Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail. This points to many more possibilities of getting 5-star versions of other characters. Given how it is a Honkai game, this feature checks out as Honkai Impact features the same mechanic in the shape of Battlesuits. In that game, several characters have different versions depending on the battle suit you get. While many thought Honkai Star Rail would follow the same path as Genshin Impact, we’re happy to get more variety here.

Whether this is a one-time thing or HoYoverse plans to add more 5-star versions is uncertain. If that happens, many gamers will be happy as it is a new design for some lovable characters. While Genshin Impact has added outfits to change the look of some of its members, having a new version of one is way better. Hopefully, we’ll see more of Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail in the coming days, given how the 1.2 version of the game is right around the corner.
