It’s that time of the month, Trailblazers! Honkai: Star Rail has released the character introduction for Huohuo, the new 5-star healer coming to the game. If you didn’t know, she’ll appear as the sole banner during the first phase of version 1.5. She hails from the Path of Abundance and wields the Wind element, making her a great addition for those lacking a second healer. Besides the usual character description and tidbits of lore about her, we also got an initial look at her skills; they are fantastic.

Those who missed the last Special Program now have a chance to look at some of the skills Huohuo has under her sleeve. As a healer, she’s all about cleansing and topping up everyone with her abilities. What makes her great, though, is her ability to increase their party’s attack and energy. This will make her helpful in almost every situation and great for those energy-hungry characters in certain teams.
Regarding her story, she’s a Ten-Lords Commission Judge-in-training who is tasked with capturing ghosts, yet she despises them, making her not so great for that position. Still, this is what people love about her. We can’t wait to see what she’ll bring to the game’s main story.
There are just a few days left of version 1.4, meaning Topaz will go away for a while. If you didn’t get her, we recommend saving that guaranteed 5-star pull for Huohuo. Especially since many skipped Luocha and Lynx. However, the latter appears in the second phase of 1.5, along with Hanya and Argenti, two new characters who bring other fun skills to the table. Yet again, HoYoverse brings a hefty update full of lovable characters that’ll surely leave our wallets dry.
And if you’re still on the fence about pulling for her, we recommend watching this animated short that shows some of the jobs Huohuo does in Xianzhou. Having her around might not be as bad as it seems.
