For all the animal lovers who wish to have their own Plains Bear Cub, this option may not be so far off, at least not for the Astral Express. Players could have one more little companion like Topaz, who is always with Numby —plus the dozens of other animals on her ecologic ship. Just to be clear, I’m not talking about Pom-Pom; the conductor would probably be mad to be treated as an animal. According to leaks, in the future, Honkai Star Rail could introduce the option of having your own pet accompany you to the far reaches of the universe along Akivili’s path.
HoYoverse could implement this mechanic to have different companions as pets, as in Genshin Impact, and a new “catalog” of the various creatures. Not only that but in the leaks, the first pet of Honkai Star Rail could be a tapir. Although this will surely not be an ordinary tapir, as it is probably from a strange world. In the images circulating on the Internet, this animal is remarkably similar to the Pokemon Munna and Musharna. This pet is a pink tapir about the size of a Warp Trotter but with a distinctive belt of fluffy clouds surrounding its belly and back.
Unfortunately, as these are only rumors and leaks, there is no approximate date when this first pet might arrive on Honkai Star Rail. However, it is not unreasonable to think that there are also these little companions if Genshin Impact has the Mini Seelie, Endora, Cloud Retainer’s Damasked Device, and more. Even in Teyvat, you need some of these pets to accomplish some quests and complete puzzles like the Pari Sorush. Still, I can’t wait to have this tapir as a pet or other wildlife specimens from various planets, like a crystal lizard or a Mad Moles from Belobog.
