Hot on the heels of last month’s Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart deep dive, Sony has announced another State of Play broadcast for this week. This time, the platform holder turns the spotlight to another highly-anticipated PlayStation Exclusive, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West.
In a PlayStation Blog post published today, Sony confirmed Horizon Forbidden West‘s gameplay debut, promising to treat fans to no less than 14 minutes of ‘brand new in-game action’ pulled directly from the PlayStation 5 version of the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel. Overall, there’s a 20-minute Horizon Forbidden West ‘exclusive segment’ to look forward to. As for whether other games form part of this State of Play’s bill, the wording is ambiguous. Either way, Horizon Forbidden West takes center stage during this State of Play.
This reveal has been a true team effort and we’re very excited to show you what we have in store. Whether you’ve been with us and Aloy since Horizon Zero Dawn or are only just getting to know this incredible world, we want to share this huge milestone with you and cannot wait to see your favorite moments and reactions.
Horizon Forbidden West State of Play Details
As for the details, Sony has penciled this latest State of Play in for this Thursday, May 27th, at 2 pm PT / 10 pm BST / 11 pm CEST. From 9 am PT / 5 pm BST / 6 pm CEST onward, Sony is hosting a ‘uniquely crafted countdown.’ As usual, interested parties can tune in over on PlayStation’s official Twitch and YouTube channels to catch the broadcast.
Unveiled coming up to a year ago now during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event, Horizon Forbidden West is set to launch on both the previous-gen PlayStation 4 and the new PlayStation 5 consoles sometime this year.
