Despite not featuring Ultra Beasts from Pokemon Sun and Moon, you can acquire Beast Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. As you can infer from its name, Beast Ball is a unique Poke Ball specifically created to catch the Ultra Beasts, five times more effective when catching them — but much less useful when used on normal Pokemon. Either saving them for potential future updates or just because the Ball looks cool, some Trainers are looking to obtain as many Beast Balls as they can. Although extremely rare, there are three ways where you can get Beast Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

1. Complete the Paldea Pokedex

The first method to obtain a Beast Ball in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is by completing 100% of the Paldea Pokedex; that means catching and registering all 400 Pokemon in the base game. Then return to your Homeroom Teacher, Jacq, at Uva/Naranja Academy. He will give you one Beast Ball as a reward.

2. Reward from the Academy Ace Tournament

After completing the game and (once again) defeating all eight Gym Leaders in a rematch, you will unlock the Academy Ace Tournament at Mesagoza just before you enter the Uva/Naranja Academy. Here, you can participate in a gauntlet of Pokemon matches with random NPC Trainers and obtain various rewards — including Beast Balls.

Of course, keep in mind that the Academy Ace Tournament rewards are randomized, so you might have to grind the post-game activity for a bit until you collect a bunch of them. Academy Ace Tournament is also considered one of the best places to farm Pokedollars fast, according to the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community.

3. Trade with Other Trainers

Lastly, you can get Beast Balls from other Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Trainers via trading. Obviously, you will have to look for kind-hearted and willing Trainers from Reddit threads, Discords, or other communities first, though. If you have one and want to give it to a friend, simply make a Pokemon hold a Beast Ball and trade them.
