This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

You’ll find very early on, that there are loads of tall structures throughout Athia that you’ll need to climb a bit higher for in Forspoken. It may seem like an avoidable thing, but it definitely is not, as Frey needs to get past some of these structures and obstacles in order to progress further in her journeys. Climbing higher isn’t a terribly difficult thing to do, it just requires a specific Magic Parkour spell. Throughout this guide we’ll look into that a bit more, so keep reading in order to learn how you can climb higher in Forspoken.

Forspoken: How to Climb Higher

In order to climb higher, you’ll need to acquire a new ability first. This ability is called Leap. With this ability, you can jump from a wall and it aids in allowing you to climb higher. With this ability, Frey will be able to travel over tall structures and obstacles with ease, and journey through more of Athia. Leap is a necessary ability in order to progress through the game.

In order to use Leap, you’ll need to be in front of a wall. From there, press the Left Stick and the Circle button at the same time in order to do a high climb. Now, press the Circle Button again while still in the air to give Frey a quick boost so that she can travel over the structure.

Leap and other Magic Parkour abilities like Flow make traveling through Athia a lot easier and more enjoyable, so it’s important to obtain and use them whenever you can.

Where to Find Leap in Forspoken

You can’t find Leap until you’ve made your way into Chapter 3. You can find it when Frey takes off on her own in the open world after she leaves Cipal. To find it, you’ll have to head to the Mulberry Fount in The Barren Plains. There will be a tree over a smaller body of water there. Interact with he tree to start a cutscene, and once the scene is finished, you’ll be given the Leap ability so you can finally climb higher.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
