As many of you already know, The Blood of Dawnwalker introduces a time system, giving players only 30 days to rescue their family. At first, this may seem extremely restrictive and overwhelming. However, it isn’t as daunting as you may think. Even if the game explains to you the basics of how time works, there are also a few other things you need to keep track of, which is why we’ve made a quick guide to help you make the most out of this system and not lose your family in the process.

30 Days Time System in The Blood of Dawnwalker, Explained

Once you complete the tutorial, you’ll get the notification that you only have 30 days to save your family in The Blood of Dawnwalker. However, that’s everything the game will tell you. It will be up to you to discover how to spend your time and how much of it you spend on certain actions.

Normally, most quests and actions you perform use up one time slot of the day or night. However, there are a few exceptions, such as the following:

  • Disrupting Brencis’ operations uses up 3 time slots
  • Certain quest objectives use up 2-3 time slots
  • Learning skills use up 1 time slot

A few other activities take more time, but the above are the most common. Still, it is important to keep this in mind, especially since days and nights can go by extremely quickly if you focus only on learning skills or doing side objectives. Before you know it, those 30 days will run out, which could lead to an unintended ending—not a bad one, though.

Can You Eliminate the Time System in The Blood of Dawnwalker?

Believe it or not, there is one way to get rid of the time system in The Blood of Dawnwalker and finally get rid of that 30-day pressure. However, it might not be the best approach for players. Before we dive into it, big spoiler warning.

So, to get rid of the time system in the game, you can just advance time until the 30 days are over. Once you do that, you’ll see a cutscene of Brencis and your family with a not-so-desirable outcome. Coen will sense something happened to them and vow to get revenge on the bald vampire.

Yet, once that happens, the time system will be gone, and you’ll be able to roam freely, complete quests, and continue with the story. This shouldn’t be a surprise, as the developers confirmed that failing to do everything during the 30-day window doesn’t mean the end. Still, you might not get to see that “good” ending, so keep that in mind if you want to skip time.

Ultimately, it is up to you what to do every day and night; just be mindful that certain activities only happen at specific times, and a few other quests are up for a limited time only.
