Finding and Activating UAV towers in Warzone 2 DMZ
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the mission objectives that players will often receive when entering the DMZ map in Warzone 2.0 is finding and activating UAV Towers in Al Mazrah. Completing this mission is moderately straightforward and should only take participants a few minutes to carry out. However, many newcomers might need clarification as to what UAV Towers are and where these devices can be found. Fortunately, the locations of these towers are clearly illustrated within Al Mazrah’s map legend, making them effortless to discover. The main challenge of this objective or any DMZ mission in Warzone 2.0 will be primarily surviving encounters with hostile AI soldiers or other human players.

First, before players can activate a UAV Tower in Warzone 2 DMZ, they must know how to find one. After entering Al Mazrah, open the in-game map and check the legend on the right for UAV Tower, which should be indicated by a tower icon with a wifi-like symbol. There will be multiple icons like this across the DMZ map.

After deciding on which UAV tower to visit and activate in Warzone 2 DMZ, players should search for a nearby vehicle to drive to their target destination. Of course, heading to the tower’s location on foot is fine, but the slower traversal speed will come with the risk of encountering enemies along the way. While riding a vehicle, fleeing from unwanted confrontations is much more accessible. After arriving at the tower, players should make sure that they clear the area of AI guards, as these POIs will oftentimes have patrols surrounding the premises.

Once the area is clear in Warzone 2 DMZ, approach the UAV tower’s console at its base and press the button or key shown on the prompt, “Activate UAV Tower.” The player character will be locked in a brief animation for several moments before the activation process has been completed. No other steps are required after interacting with the tower’s console. Nonetheless, a great benefit of doing this mission is briefly being able to see AI combatants and other hostile players on the minimap. This mechanic will give users an opportunity to strategize how they will flee the area.
