There are many reasons why you might want to spend time offline on Roblox. For example, you might want to play Oculus Quest 2 VR games by yourself. However, friends and acquaintances may constantly message you and try to drag you into games you’d rather not play. In such cases, you may want to be offline in Roblox to play games by yourself. Without waiting any longer, let’s discuss the process.

How To Be Offline in Roblox

Roblox doesn’t exactly have an offline function, but you can use some settings to simulate offline mode. This way, your friends will not be able to send you messages or game invitations. We will also talk about another method many people use towards the end.

Follow these steps to go offline in Roblox:

  1. Go to the Roblox homepage and log in to your account.
  2. Click on the settings icon in the top right corner and select Settings to appear offline in Roblox.
  3. Then click on the Privacy tab on the left side.
  4. Select “No one” for all options under Communication.
  5. In the Other Settings section at the bottom of the page, set the options to “No one”.

This way, you won’t constantly receive invitations or messages from your friends. While you are not entirely appearing offline on Roblox, you will be in an “offline” state.

Alternate Method: Create a Ghost Account

If you don’t want anyone to know you’re on the game, another option is to create a ghost account. In this method, you must create a new account but not add anyone as a friend. When you want to play alone, you will hop on this account, and other people will not know that you are on playing.

Even if you have more progress on your main account in the games you play, you will have to start over when you create a ghost account. This is one of the disadvantages of playing on a ghost account. That wraps up how to appear offline on Roblox.
