You can apply Traits in  Hogwarts Legacy once you have completed ‘The Room of Requirement’  and  ‘The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom’ quests. In the quest  ‘The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom,’ you will learn how to rescue magical Beasts and locate them in Vivarium, a sanctuary place for magical beasts inside your  Room of Requirement. Also, you can place the Enchanted Loom inside the  Room of Requirement. The Enchanted Loom is where you can apply Traits for your Gear. Here are the steps you need to follow.

1. Brush and Feed saved animals, and they will give you the required materials, such as Puffskein Fur, Diricawl Feathe, and Kneazle Fur, to upgrade your Gear.
2. Exit the Vivarium and equip  Conjuration spell.
3. Go to the Enchanted Loom and interact with it.
4. Select the Gear and select the Trait.
5.  Choose the Tier of the Trait according to your resources. Confirm, and you are done.
