In BitLife, you can live in a wide variety of places, from the United States to Australia. In fact, if you pick the United States, you can also specify states, like Louisiana. It’s apparently a happening place in the game, considering several challenges actually involve the state, like Urban Country and Pushing Roses. Luckily, you don’t need god mode to be born in Louisiana, and you just need to know which city to pick in BitLife.

How to Be Born in Louisiana in BitLife

[Updated August 23, 2024 – Rewrote guide and additional steps.]

BitLife makes picking a specific state a little confusing because you aren’t picking the state itself, you’re actually picking a city that resides there. So, you’re forgiven if you don’t remember which cities belong to which state (I sure as heck don’t remember). The city you’re looking for is New Orleans!

Obviously, you have to set your Bitizen’s country to the United States, too. If you were hoping for a city closer to home, New Orleans is all you have unlike Ohio, where you get three cities to pick. As for the rest of your Bitizen’s characteristics, those are up to you or to the whims of whatever challenge you’re doing:

  • Deliverance Challenge
  • Urban Country
  • And the aforementioned Pushing Roses Challenge

One thing to note is that you cannot move to Louisiana after you’ve created your character. You have to pick the state beforehand, not after. There’s a chance you’ll see Louisiana as an option for vacation, but that’s it. And if you immigrate out of the United States, then back, you’ll automatically immigrate back to Louisiana.

There are some unique events you can attend in Louisiana, not just for the sake of challenges. Your Bitizen is bound to experience Mardi Gras at least once, and they do tend to have a lot of fun. It’s an excellent way to boost your Happiness stat!
