The hardest boss fights in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader for Chapter 1 will be the Aurora battles. You must understand how the battles work and how each of your companions can contribute to the strategy to overcome this challenge. These battles involve more than just defeating enemies; you must figure out how to buy more time for yourself. Here are the strategies necessary to defeat Aurora in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader without losing too much time.

Your first battle with Aurora in Warhammer 4oK: Rogue Trader takes place at the Electrodynamic Cenobium. Once you have located the priests, they open a passage that leads you to Aurora. You’re unable to hurt her directly due to a barrier, with several enemy reinforcements appearing. A notification indicating the number of rounds you have appears at the top of your screen. If it reaches zero, you lose the battle.

To buy yourself more time, you can see several Electro Priests standing near reactors. Defeating them will give you an additional round on your timer. Split your companions into two teams of three and send them down both sides of the battlefield. Having Abelard and Pasqal in each team makes it easier to clear a path.

Always prioritize the Electro Priests over other enemies; you must buy time to complete the battle. The timer disappears after defeating all the Electro Priests, allowing you to mop up the other enemies. Aurora will be vulnerable afterwards and the battle ends.

Aurora takes the form of an armored soldier with a powerful heavy gun. This battle is difficult for beginners because you lose if Aurora destroys all the transport shuttles. With only three shuttles available, you don’t have many opportunities to waste. Spread your team out while surrounding Aurora. Avoid stacking units in a line; Aurora gets the first turn and fires on your team, shredding anyone in their path.

Enemies appear to assist Aurora and you should take them out quickly. Have one or two characters stall Aurora; preferably melee characters like Pasqual or Heinrix. Have a few characters make their way towards the ramp leading to the other two shuttles. Aurora’s defenses will likely prevent you from saving the first shuttle but you only need one to stay alive.

As Aurora destroys the shuttles, enemy reinforcements appear. If you can stall Aurora and constantly attack, you can weaken them and prepare yourself for the reinforcements. Aurora’s high movement allows them to traverse the map, which is why you need characters positioned near the other shuttles.

Constantly attack Aurora with every character. Abelard and Pasqal can deal good melee damage, while Abelard and Heinrix can use Charge to speed towards Aurora. Argenta can position herself for long-range attacks and Cassia can provide her with extra turns. Idira can use Psychic Shriek to inflict good damage on Aurora. Inflict as many debuffs on Aurora to weaken their defenses and use your most powerful attacks. Eventually, Aurora will fall and you will protect the remaining shuttles, giving you the victory.
