Honkai: Star Rail is not for the chickenhearted, especially when facing off-beat powerful bosses like Cocolia. With divine authority flowing through her veins, Cocolia can freeze her foes in their tracks with her mastery over ice and snow. As the former Supreme Guardian of Belobog and adoptive mother of Bronya Rand, Cocolia’s formidable strength is matched only by her cunning. In this guide, you’ll find the combination of skill and strategy, and with a little bit of luck, you, too, can take down this fearsome foe.

  • Battle Scene One

The initial phase of the Cocolia boss fight in Honkai: Star Rail is like a first date — it’s all about getting to know your opponent. Unfortunately, Cocolia is a bit of a tease, as you can only use physical attacks during this phase. And just like a bad date, things worsen when Cocolia impales your Trailblazer with a spear. But you’ll soon find yourself in a trippy space filled with projections of Gepard and other Belobog bigwigs. As you enter this strange realm, you’ll discover that Cocolia has turned her back on Preservation. But hey, at least you’ll get to chat with the Guardians’ Will and touch the light of the Amber, which sounds like a pretty good way to cap off a bizarre first encounter with a boss.

Keep in mind that the above scenario only happens during the story mode encounter, and the cutscenes won’t occur during Echoes of War.

  • Battle Scene Two

Now that your Trailblazer has the power of Fire on their side in Honkai: Star Rail, you can beat Cocolia and show her who the real boss is. Luckily, your party members will be there to join in on the fun. Cocolia may be a Mother of Deception, but she’s not a pushover. You’ve got some tricks up your sleeve, namely that Cocolia has a weakness to Fire. You don’t want to put all your fiery eggs in one basket — bring along some Lightning and Quantum characters since these Elements are also highly effective against Cocolia. With the right combination of Elements and a little strategy, you can take down Cocolia and emerge victorious in Honkai: Star Rail.

Cocolia’s Moveset

Her lock-on attacks in the first phase will have you wishing you had a tank or the Trailblazer’s skill to draw her attention away from your party. Losing your allies during this boss fight is not an option, so keep them safe and sound by being a distraction yourself.

As you progress in the fight, new combat features will unlock to beat Cocolia in Honkai: Star Rail, such as the powerful large arm you can summon after earning enough energy. In the second phase, Cocolia’s ability to temporarily stun one of your party members can be a game changer.
