The Legend of Zelda series has some of gaming’s most legendary boss battles, and Tears of the Kingdom is no different. In addition to mini-bosses, world bosses, and enemy lairs, each dungeon has a boss fight. Each dungeon boss has to be defeated if you hope to complete them and earn their ultimate reward. Colgera is the boss of the Wind Temple Dungeon. This guide will explain how to beat Colgera in Tears of the Kingdom.

Once you fully unlock all five hatches in the Wind Temple, otherwise known as the Legendary Stormwind Ark, the deck will open, and Colgera will make its grand entrance. This flying monstrosity is giant and will test your long-range bow skills exclusively.

Before you begin this battle, we suggest making some meals for healing and having at least a couple dozen arrows and a handful of bows on hand, as resupplying during the fight will be challenging, to say the least.

Colgera is fierce, but if you have a steady aim and can perfect the slow-motion shot, you can put this boss down in one or two attempts. During the fight, Colgera will launch various attacks your way. It will try to collide with you, so dodge to the left or right and move out of the way.

As Colgera passes you, hold ZR to aim the bow in slow motion and fire at the exposed pink spots on its underbelly. A glass shell protects these areas, so it will take multiple shots to break the glass, then one more to hit the exposed weak spots beneath them.

After breaking the first couple of weak spots, Colgera will create and enter a portal. While it’s inside, you have to be aware of various tornados that will fill the sky. Release the Paraglider and activate it to maneuver around these obstacles. After a short while, Colgera will leap out of the vortex directly at you. Move to the left or right and avoid this attack, or it’s game over.

As Colgera is flying by you, use the slow shot to tag more weak points. You want to try and be efficient with your shots and lead your aim. The wind, plus the speed of both you and Colgera, will make shots difficult to aim with accuracy.

After the second portal opens, Colgera will leap out of and repeat the attack pattern, but it will be faster. Use one last shot from the bow, destroy the final weak point, and end Colgera’s endless blizzard over Rito Village. Finishing this battle will get you a free heart upgrade and the ability to use Tulin’s avatar as a companion for the rest of the game.

Follow these steps carefully, and you should have no issue understanding how you can defeat Colgera in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For more on the game, keep it locked to TNS!
