After defeatingย Midgardsormrย and entering the Mythril Mine, you will encounter two Turks inside this abandoned area. The group uses the chance to eavesdrop on Elena and Rude and discover that their enemies are also following the clones. Hearing how Elena plans to kill the weak clone, Tifa makes a comment that Elena’s sharp hearing catches. Now, you have no choice but to confront and beat Elena and Rude inย Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Rude and Elena are quite challenging Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth bosses because they are very fast and will attack you simultaneously. You should focus on taking down Elena first before you turn on Rude. They are deadly together, and you don’t want to get hit by their Synergy Ability.

Here are Rude and Elena’s attributes:

  • Rude
    • Weakness: Wind
    • Lesser Resistance: Petrify
    • Greater Resistances: Sleep and Stop
    • Absorbed Elements: None
    • Immunities:
      • Proportional Damage
      • Slow
      • Silence
      • Stone
      • Morphable Items
  • Elena
    • Weakness: Lightning
    • Lesser Resistance: None
    • Greater Resistances: Sleep and Stop
    • Absorbed Elements: None
    • Immunities:
      • Proportional Damage
      • Slow
      • Silence
      • Stone
      • Morphable Items

Rude and Elena both have unblockable attacks with wide areas of effect. If you see Spirit Geyser and Stun Grenade, you should stop attacking and focus on dodging. You’ll see an indication of where the strikes will land; you must get out of there before you get hurt.

Team Composition

Since Red XII and Barret left the team earlier, you can only use Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith to beat Rude and Elena in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Thankfully, this team composition is still great because Cloud and Tifa can be your DPS while Aerith supports the group.

You can pressure Elana by hitting her with powerful offensive abilities. On the other hand, Rude will only get pressured if you attack him when his guard is up. I recommend using Cloud to counter and parry her attacks, and you can unleash Focused Thrust to build her Stagger Gauge.

Here are some ideal abilities you can use in this boss battle:

  • Cloud – Braver, Focused Thrust, Wind Current, and Firebolt Blade
  • Tifa – Dive Kick and Focused Strike
  • Aerith – Jet Stream and Rolling Thunder
