Remnant 2 comes at full speed with many souls-like mechanics for players to try. What sets this game apart from others of the genre is how good its procedurally generated content is. Many players might face a boss on a planet, while others might get a completely different experience. Remnant 2: How To Defeat The Astropath Boss
The Astropath boss can be a chaotic enemy that won’t let players do much in Remnant 2. As always, we recommend grabbing a party and tackling the boss together, but if that’s not possible, we have a solution for you. Here, we’ve prepared a guide for solo and co-op players who want to try their hand at this foe.
Solo Guide
- Focus on the boss’s stomach (weak spot)
- When the second phase begins, take down the golden skeletons first
- The third phase will spawn purple skeletons. Focus on taking down one at a time
- Use a DOT mod when the Astropath spawns to take more chunks of its health
- Shoot the glowing orb that shoots shockwaves as it also damages the boss
- Rinse and repeat
Co-Op Guide
- Preferably bring a Hunter, Gunslinger, and Handler/Medic
- Have the Hunter focus on the Astropath
- Handler/Medic and Hunter should focus on the other enemies that spawn
- Keep the dog on the boss at all times
Both strategies are good and should give you an edge when fighting the Astropath boss in Remnant 2. The fight is doable by any class, so don’t worry about your party composition, but the abovementioned one is a good way to cheese it. Besides that, remember that the boss will send shockwaves and a roulette-like attack; dodge both, and you’ll be fine.
How to Get the Helix Weapon Mod
If you’ve beaten the Astropath boss, you’ll get the Seeker Residue. If you have this material, you can craft the Helix Weapon mod in Remnant 2. This is very useful as it’ll let you shoot seeking projectiles that are very useful against elite enemies or other bosses. To craft the Helix Weapon mod in Remnant 2, you need the following materials:
- 1 Seeker Residue
- 5 Lumenite Crystals
- 650 Scraps
