Players who got N’Erud as the first planet might’ve received the quest to open the Sentinel’s Keep. If you are at this point of the story, what awaits you is a fight with the Guardian of N’Erud, the world’s final boss in Remnant 2, who rewards players with the Spectral Blade materials. While the size and look of the boss might make people nervous, the fight can be easy if you follow a few tricks. That’s why today we’ve prepared a guide to let you beat the Guardian of N’Erud efficiently.

Remnant 2: How to Defeat the Final Boss ‘Guardian of N’Erud’

Contrary to other boss fights, this one can be easy, depending on how much damage you do. As soon as the fight begins, you’ll notice the Guardian of N’Erud holding an orb, making it one of the easiest weak spots a final boss has in Remnant 2. You must focus on this orb, as damaging it will eat the boss’s health fast. The first phase is simple as you can get many shots at the weak spot, yet a new phase will begin around one-quarter of the Guardian’s health.

The second phase changes the scenery a bit and spawns floating hands. These hands will shoot beams at you that hit like a truck. There’s a small line of fire that shows where they’ll hit; make sure to dodge them as you spot the lines. At the same time, it is important to watch for other hands that’ll pop from the ground. These also hit hard, and getting hit by one can mean defeat.

The third phase will include the same mechanics, but this time, the boss will make a big vortex attack with an orb. Players will get sucked toward the vortex, which does much damage. However, this is the abovementioned orb, which means you can shoot at it while walking away from the attack.

How to Craft the Spectral Blade

After defeating the Guardian of N’Erud, you’ll get several useful objects for the game. The Strange Object is related to the story. However, the Eidolon Shard is the item you need to craft the Spectral Blade in Remnant 2. This melee weapon is great as it adds a fantastic effect for charged attacks. If you prefer melee over ranged, that blade’s for you. To build it, you’ll need the following:

  • 1 Eidolon Shard
  • 7 Lumenite Crystals
  • 1000 Scraps

Will Remnant 2 Be Available on PS4 and Xbox One? Answered

One thing we recommend if you want to beat the Guardian of N’Erud in Remnant 2 is to get mods that do DoT damage. This will keep damaging the boss while you dodge the many things it throws at you. While the fight isn’t hard, and you don’t need party members to beat it, bringing an extra person doesn’t hurt. If you do, position yourselves on different sides of the arena to aggro the attacks far away from the other player.

Remnant 2 launches on July 21 as Early Access, with a full release on July 25 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
