Harry Potter fans didn’t have a decent video game set in the Wizarding World, and after many failed attempts, it seemed there was no hope for it. But the release of Hogwarts Legacy showed that there is still hope. The game has great gameplay, an enormous environment filled with many quests and sidequests, and challenges to overcome. Pensieve Guardians is among those challenges, and here is how to beat it in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to Beat Pensieve Guardian in Hogwarts Legacy
The combat system is one of the major mechanisms fans were worried about. Fortunately, Hogwarts Legacy has created an amazing combat system that feels tense and really gives the feeling of being a battlefield of spells.
The game also has a good variety of enemies. From small creatures to gigantic magical statues, from powerful wizards to mythical beings. You will face different types of enemies during Charles Rookwood’s Trial.
Pensieve Guardian is the last enemy you fight in this trial, which is basically its boss fight. The boss fight isn’t hard on its own, but knowing how to defend, which spells to use, and when to use them makes this boss challenging.
Pensieve Guardians uses three types of attacks. Foot stomps, power orbs, and ranged arrows. You have two options to defend yourself against its attacks. You can use the Protego Spell or dodge them. The trick is, for either of them, you must have good timing. So make sure you know when to dodge to use the spell.
As for attacking, use basic attack magic. This includes spells like Diffindo and Bombarda. After hitting the Guardian several times, you can cast the Ancient Magic spell by pressing L1 and L2 on DualSense, LB, and RB on the Xbox controller and X on the keyboard to deal serious damage.
If you hit the Guardian successfully with the Ancient Magic, it will go into a sedentary state that you must use to bombard it with different attack spells.
There is also another way to prevent taking damage and dealing with some at the same time. When the Guardian wants to hit you with the orb, shoot the orb with a spell that has the same color. For instance, if it’s a purple orb, use Accio or Depulso spell and aim for the orb.
