In soul-like games like Lies of P, you’ll encounter death countless times, and in most cases it’s inevitable. Since this is the case in Lies of P, you should definitely improve your Block and Perfect Parry skills. Because when you fight powerful enemies, they will use Fury Attack on you, and the only way to avoid this attack is to use Perfect Guard. Without further ado, let’s look at how to do Perfect Guard in Lies of P.

In Lies of P, you can use Block and Parry a lot when you’re low on health and don’t want to put yourself in danger. Thanks to Parry, you can break your enemy’s stance by giving them a Stagger Damage. In this way, you can do a Fatal Attack on your weakened enemy and take most of their health.

The Parry mechanic in Lies of P is more similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice rather than Elden Ring or Dark Souls. While in Elden Ring, you can Parry your enemy with a simple shield and good timing, this is not the case in Lies of P. Just like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, you’ll need to Perfect Guard and Charge Attack your enemy to inflict Stagger Damage. You can perform your Fatal Attack while the enemy is Staggered.

To do a Perfect Guard in Lies of P, you need to time your Parry very well. You have to Block just before the enemy hits you, and then this makes it a Perfect Guard. As simple as it sounds, it’s actually not easy to get used to this process. This is because there are many different enemies in Lies of P, and they all have their own unique attack patterns. Therefore, reading enemies is one of the skills you need to acquire.

However, if you want to improve your Perfect Guard and Parry skills without dying in Lies of P, there is an easy way. When you approach the game’s first boss, the Parade Master, you’ll find the second Stargazer. Next to this second Stargazer is an NPC and a Training Dummy. In this Training Dummy, you can practice Perfect Guard at least until you get used to it a bit.
