  • My Singing Monsters: How to Breed Rare and Epic Maw
This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the earliest dual-element monsters you can breed in My Singing Monsters is the eyeless, pink-furred Maw. It has an extremely simple design compared to other monsters as well as its Rare and Epic cousins. But the community agrees that, somehow, Maw has one of the best singing voices in the game. You definitely want to have this Cold-Water monster as a part of any of your choirs. Thankfully, breeding the normal and Rare variant isn’t too hard. Now, Epic Maw, on the other hand, needs specific conditions to be bred like other Epic monsters out there.

What Do You Need to Breed a Maw?

In My Singing Monsters, you can easily breed Maw using Cold and Water single-element monsters. There are a lot of examples for it, but the most efficient combination for breeding is by using Mammott (Water) and Toe Jammer (Cold). Both monsters can be bought from the Marketplace for 300 Gold and 250 Gold, respectively.

As one of the early double-element monsters you can get, Maw isn’t too picky about its habitat. It can be bred and placed in all 11 available Islands in the game:

  • Plant and Mirror Plant Island.
  • Cold and Mirror Cold Island.
  • Air and Mirror Air Island.
  • Fire Oasis.
  • Tribal Island.
  • The Colossingum.
  • Composer Island.
  • Gold Island.

To breed a Maw, tap on the Breeding Structure, pick the monsters you want to breed, and wait until the process is done. Unlike most other monsters, Maw (alongside Drumpler and Fwog) only takes 30 minutes to be bred. If you want to skip the wait, fork out 1 Diamond to instantly hatch the monster.

If you have not yet built a Breeding Structure on an Island you want, then you have to buy it from the Structures menu. It can be found by opening the Market icon, picking the Structures option, and selecting the Breeding Structure. The building can be purchased for 200 Gold or 10 Shards once you have reached Level 7. Once the 30-minute incubation period ends, tap on the Nursery, and now you can place the Maw on any Island.

In My Singing Monsters, Mammott and Toe Jammer can also be used to breed a Rare Maw. Aside from that, combining surplus Entmaw and normal Maw works as well. But do keep in mind that Rare Maw can only be bred during Special Events. It will take 60 minutes or 1 hour, or spending 1 Diamond, to hatch one. The hairy Maw can also be purchased from the StarShop for 750 Starpower.

Meanwhile, Epic Maw is only available during My Singing Monsters Seasonal Events. Spend 150 Diamonds or use the special breeding combination listed below to acquire one when there’s an event. Don’t forget that an Epic Maw takes 13 hours of incubation time or 10 Diamonds to skip it.

My Singing Monsters is now available on PC, Android, and iOS devices.
